Total Endurance Sports Therapy offers tailored one-to-one Pilates sessions and group Pilates matwork classes. Small equipment such as foam rollers, circles, balls, bands, ankle weights, dumbbells, yoga straps, vibrating rollers, and wobble boards will be added to create resistance/give support, challenge the core and your balance, develop strength, and facilitate the mobility and stretching of each joint. Strength work, stretch therapy, yoga positions and Slings Myofascial exercises will be incorporated to release restrictions and stretch tight muscles.

Pilates is worthwhile for every body but can be especially helpful for those with back pain, osteoporosis and osteopenia, arthritis, hip/knee/shoulder issues, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, who are antenatal and postnatal, have hypermobility, scoliosis or are experiencing breast cancer rehab.

At Total Endurance, a blend of several techniques will be incorporated into your 1-1 Pilates session or group Pilates class to help you achieve your health & fitness goals. These might include:

Slings Myofascial – The Slings Myofascial repertoire will be utilised to add more multi-dimensional exercises to each Pilates class.

We will start with a thorough needs analysis assessment of your sport to understand your specific needs, training loads, nutrition requirements and history of previous injuries. We will then conduct a comprehensive assessment to identify any underlying issues that may not only lead to a potential injury but may be hindering your sport performance.

Through a combination of functional movement and biomechanical analysis, orthopaedic tests, and assessment of your musculoskeletal system, we’ll pinpoint strength, mobility and stability imbalances, tightness and weaknesses, allowing us to create a targeted treatment plan. Treatment will include hands-on manual therapy techniques, exercises, nutritional plans and correction of any movement deficiencies. We will provide a written report of our findings, a tailored exercise program and video analysis of posture, gait, functional and sport specific movements.
